Call Me "Geek" or Call Me "Passionate"

I found this documentary on Netflix called, "Killer at Large: Why Obesity is America's Greatest Threat". Please if you have Netflix check it out, it is only an hour and 45 minutes so it really is not that much time out of your day. This documentary reiterates my goal in life: to rid the world of obesity, to reduce the numbers of obesity. It is a great documentary for raising awareness of how prominent obesity is, especially in children. But it wasn't really educational for me. However, I did learn that school's meals are based upon how many calories you give the children; not if it is healthy or not. The USDA will approve chicken nuggets, canned fruit cocktail, and refined sugars but will not approve fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, and whole grains. Because the calorie count is not high enough. That's disgusting. I hope if you watched it as well you realize what is wrong with society and that obesity really is a problem that government still is hindering. I just want the world to be fit and healthy... is that too much to ask? Apparently it is...

Any updates on my life? Only a few: I gave up on the whole protein shake ideal. It reminds me too much of a lactose test I once had so my gag reflexes are just awful with powdery liquids. I am back to eating my protein bars, which are honestly just as good in terms of amount of protein (taste wise, the bars are WAY better) but they are a more expensive way of getting the right amount of protein in my diet. So I guess it is a sacrifice I'll have to make for the time being. Also, I notice that my abs are becoming slimmer still! Which feels amazing. I have wanted a flat tummy all my life (I grew up with a little Buddha belly haha) and now I'm finally going to get the opportunity. I had a bit of a set back this week by being on spring break. I took three days off from working out, my usual is two days, and when I went to go workout after my three day break, my body completely resisted any amount of working out. It honestly scared the shit out of me. My body has never told me "no" ever since January when I got the drive to become fit; it has only told me "more". So I texted my trainer and he told me to take that day off as well and use it as a "refueling" day by loading up on gluten-free carbs and meat. Well, I did exactly that and today went to go workout and felt like I could do anything. Sometimes he knows what he's talking about haha, I'll give him that.
