Meaner and Leaner

Yesterday I went to Old Navy and bought myself some cute summer clothes. It was like my own reward to myself for all the hard work I've been putting in since January. And man oh man did it boost my self-esteem: I looked great in them. It was the most confident I had felt in a LONG time in cute summer clothes.

So I sent my trainer a little text to thank him for all that he has done for me and to thank him for my "new" body. His response: "You're welcome. But it's all your hard work, it takes a lot of effort to make a decision to workout and keep with it. Your legs look leaner and meaner haha." Talk about a double self-esteem booster in one day! I guess it really is worth all the tears and anger he puts me through during our one-on-one's haha.

I can finally say that I am proud of myself for how long I have come. I know the journey isn't over yet, I know it doesn't mean I can slack off one bit, and I still have a long way to go but to look back on how far I have come is just amazing. I can't wait for summer now. Every year I had always dreaded it due to the pounds put on during the winter and holiday months. Now I know I'll look hotter than a lot of college students this summer and I really couldn't be happier.

Going to the zoo later to enjoy the outdoors with the kiddies and relax; after all, it takes more than just exercise and diet to become a healthy individual - the less stress the better :)
